Digital Summer Clinic Internship Week 3
Going into week 3, the work is starting to feel more real. The pieces are connecting and the ideas are sharpening. This felt like the right moment to share a bit more about the company my team is working with through the clinic. I’m excited to be collaborating closely with my partner, Avery Miller, as we bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the project together.
We’ve been paired with Cargility, a company centered around “making movement easier and more empowering for aging adults, outpatients, or anyone challenged by instability”. Their mission is thoughtful and focused, and it’s been exciting to explore how design can help amplify that purpose.
We began with a team meeting focused on revisiting our brand voice—making sure everything we’ve created so far feels cohesive and intentional. It’s been interesting to see how refining tone and language can bring so much clarity to a brand’s identity. While also, moving into early website concepts. I shared some initial ideas with the team, and their positive feedback made me feel more confident in the direction I’m heading. They encouraged me to keep going and expand on the concepts, which gave me a renewed sense of motivation.
We also had a quick check-in with the clinic, where all the interns came together to share progress. It was refreshing to hear feedback from different perspectives and see what other teams are working on. Later in the week, we had our in-person all-hands meeting and got the chance to sit down with two of our mentors, Nic and Natalie. They shared personal insights on navigating career paths—one in the tech world, the other running a business. Their advice felt honest and approachable, and it gave me some helpful context for how to make the most of the opportunities here.
On top of everything, I’ve also started working toward my Google Analytics certification. I’m making steady progress through the training, and I’m excited to apply that knowledge to better understand how design and data work together.
